Dogs & Cats Available for Adoption
Giving animals the lives they deserve
We are not a shelter. We are a foster home-based rescue organization, and do not have pets available to meet onsite. To meet specific animals, please fill out an adoption application to start the process and arrange a meet and greet.
Adoption Fee Breakdown:
-
- Dogs & puppies under 2 years old – $550
- Dogs 2-7 years old – $450
- Dogs over 7 years old or with ongoing medical conditions – $300
- Cats & Kittens (when available) – $60
Please note, this scale is our general guideline, however, every adoption fee is subject to differ depending on the circumstances involved with each rescue. Every dog will always have the adoption fee listed in their bio.
Can’t decide whether to Foster or Adopt? If you’re considering bringing a pet into your home permanently, it’s best to complete an Adoption Application rather than fostering with the intention of eventually adopting. Our Foster program is designed to provide temporary homes for dogs while we seek out potential adopters, not as an alternative route to adoption.
While “foster fails”—where foster families end up adopting the animal—do occur and we are happy to facilitate these adoptions when suitable, the most guaranteed route to welcoming a dog into your family is through our Adoption Application. For any questions about the differences between adopting and fostering, please reach out to manny@streetdoghero.org.
